What’s the difference between picture and fixed windows?

Even though the term fixed windows and picture windows are often used to describe the same window style, these window types do have some slight differences.

Picture windows have a low profile (smaller frames) to maximize their glass surface, allowing for the clearest view. Fixed windows are also stationary and allow plenty of natural light to enter your home and provide great views, however they have larger frames as they are built to match the frames of adjacent operating windows.
